Description: We don’t know the Long Cool Woman’s name, in fact we don’t know much about her at all, other than she’s a singer in a “Bootlegging Boozer On The West Side/Full Of People Who Are Doing Wrong.” She catches the eye of the song’s protagonist, who describes her as “a long cool woman in a black dress.” True to her name, she stands 5’9” (“Beautiful Tall”), and is said to be a “tall walking big black cat.” Needless to say, our hero is promptly smitten, and manages to save his long cool woman from being arrested when the police arrive to raid the place.

Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress was the Hollies most successful American single, reaching number 2 on the charts. The character was built around the Jazz Musician package from Pulp Hero with the addition of “Getta Aload Of Her!”. She could easily fit into either a Dark Champions or Pulp Hero setting with ease. She makes a good Contact for those into the musical scene, and might make a good DNPC for a Masked Avenger-type crimefighter.

To make the Long Cool Woman more powerful, give her more contacts, a better handle on the city’s underworld, and WF: Handguns.
