Brian Battler

Background/History: Brian was a monster on the football field. He and his team went to the Superbowl in the late 90's. However, his reputation as a violent and somewhat crazy competitor was far from overblown. Just two short years after his Superbowl appearance, he was out of the league, banned for life for fighting and substance abuse.

While was fooling around, Brian encountered his friend, Heavy D!. Heavy D! told Brian he was only wasting his time, and that he should do something good out of his life. Brian told him that the only thing he wanted was to crush a couple of heads, since that was the only thing in what he found pleasure. Heavy D! found this the perfect opportunity, and tells Brian that the King of Fighters tournament would be starting soon, and that it would introduce the team battle mode. Brian was interested by the idea, and accepted Heavy D!'s offer to enter the King of Fighters tournament.

When Heavy D! joined with Balrog's gang, Brian followed. This causes a significant rift between the two and their former partner Lucky Glauber who was not at all keen on joining a criminal organization. While the three haven't really spoken in some time they go out of their ways to avoid conflict with each other. Balrog is a little concerned that their friend might end up a problem. He is seeking to remedy that.

Personality/Motivation: Brian likes glory and violence. He's not a complicated fellow. He is loyal to his team and his friends, but is not a friendly man by any stretch of the imagination. He doesn't hesitate to throw his weight around.

Quote: "Fourth and twenty, loser! There will be no overtime for you!"

Powers/Tactics: Hit them hard and often.

Campaign Use: A thug, he can work with or against the players depending on his team's motivation. He's not quite sure that becoming the member of a criminal gang is the life he wants to lead.

Group Relations:

Appearance: Brian is a huge man with a powerful upper body and massive thighs. He wears his brown hair short and when in combat wears a single shoulder pad, his old Team jersey and black paint under his eyes.
