Background/History: Tellah the sage is a well-know, well-respected mage and traveller. He wandered the world, studyinjg its mysteries and the traditions of magic. Along the way, he raised a family, including one granddaughter named Anna. While he was travelling through the Kaipo desert, Anna eloped with a bard named Edward. Convinced Edward had stolen her, Tellah set out to rescue his granddaughter. However, a powerful monster in the water pass between Kaipo and Damcyan, where the couple had fled, barred his way.
While trying to navigate the passage, Tellah met Cecil Harvey and Rydia, travelling to Damcyan. He agreed to work with them, and the trio made their way to Damcyan castle, arriving just as the Red Wings attacked it. Tellah raced into the castle to find Anna dying. He lashed out, attacking Edward the bard, but finally calmed down when Anna pleaded for her grandfather to save her lover. Tellah left in disgust to hunt down Golbez, who ordered the attack on Damcyan.
Personality/Motivation: Tellah's greatest enemy is his own age; he is not the man he used to be, often forgetful, befuddled and confused. After the death of his granddaughter, Tellah changes somewhat. He becomes obsessed with Golbez's downfall, although not unreasonable - he realises he cannot defeat Golbez, and travels to regain his lost knowledge. Although he forgives Edward, he is still bitter towards the young prince. And despite his best efforts, when he finally faces Golbez, he goes out of control and savagely attacks, despite his hopeless position.
Powers/Tactics: Tellah is a powerful and accomplished mage. He knows a wide variety of offensive and defensive spells. As vast as his spell list is, Tellah has actually forgotten the majority of his spells including the legendary black magic spell Meteor. With time and work, he manages to regain his spell repertoire.
Appearance: Tellah is an old man of sixty, still tall and of noble bearing. He has classic wizard looks; a thick grey beard, unkempt grey hair and thick glasses. He dresses practically, with well-worn traveller's robes and a cloak.
