Yang Fang Leiden grew up in the noble kingdom of Fabul. He trained intensively in Karate, and rose through the ranks of the Fabul army to become their karate master and trainer of their armed forces. During this time, he fell in love and got married.
Once while on patrol at Mount Hobbs, his party was attacked by a powerful group of monsters. His team were cut down, and he would have perished if not for the intervention of a group of travelers lead by Cecil Harvey. After helping defeat the monsters, Cecil explained how Fabul was about to be attacked by Golbez. Yang quickly agreed to travel with them, and fight to defend his home and the world.
Yang is dedicated to his people and king, through and through. He puts his duty to Fabul above all else. Even though Cecil is a dark knight, and by reputation evil and untrustworthy, he is ready to believe him to protect Fabul. He is also a man of his honor, and will fight fair and respect an opponent whenever possible.
Yang's fighting skills are immaculate, due to his powerful body and long years of training. When fighting monsters, he uses a sharp set of metal claws attached to his forearm. He is well-versed in karate, and has specialized in a form of flying kick, whereupon he leaps to and fro around the battlefield, striking numerous enemies.
Yang is a broad, muscular and well-tanned man in his thirties. He has a serious face, shaved bald save for a short ponytail on the back of his head. He only wears loose red pants and sandals.
