Background/History: Edgar was raised as the prince of Figaro, a powerful desert kingdom. When their father passed on, his twin brother Sabin fled the kingdom, leaving Edgar to rule Figaro on his own. Edgar rose to the task, and came into contact with both the Empire and the resistance movement known as the Returners. Although he allied his kingdom with the Empire, Edgar himself covertly supports the Returners, sending them Figaro's famed machinery.

When Locke Cole, a member of the returners, came to Figaro castle with the beautiful young Terra Bradford, Edgar couldn't resist helping them. However, their presence brought about an attack from the Empire, and Edgar fled his kingdom with the two fugitives. From then on, he joined the Returners full-time.

Personality/Motivation: Despite his royal upbringing, Edgar is far from a gentleman. He considers himself to be the consummate ladies' man, and can't resist hitting on pretty girls. He does take his duties seriously however, and puts everything aside for the safety of his kingdom and its people.

Powers/Tactics: Edgar is a highly skilled inventor and weaponsmith. His main strength is the variety of useful yet unusual weapons he carries with him. They are:
Autocrossbow: This potent weapon fires a virtual hail of crossbow bolts in front of it. It can't be focused, and thus loses some effectiveness against a single opponent.
Debilitator: This device sprays a cloud of toxic gas in front of Edgar, poisoning all those who inhale it. The gas quickly disperses, but those poisoned continue to feel its effects.
Noisemaker: The most unusual of Edgar's tools, this device screeches out a loud, piercing noise that confuses those who hear it.

Edgar is constantly tinkering and inventing new weapons.

Appearance: Edgar is a handsome man in his late twenties. He has long blond hair tied back into a ponytail, and blue eyes. He usually wears the ornate, elaborate ceremonial armor of Figaro. (Edgar Roni Figaro created by Squaresoft. Character sheet by Max Fauth)
