Saint Vincent Seen From Orbit
WILD LIFE
Saint Vincent Iguana

Situated as it is amid the Windward Island in the Caribbean, Saint Vincent has plenty of amazing native wildlife to be found in the ocean waters and on land. For those who enjoy swimming, the shallow waters surrounding the island mean the waters team with colorful tropical fish, as well as sea turtles (which have a protected sanctuary on the island); and several species of dolphins and whales.

On land, Saint Vincent is home to the oldest botanical gardens in the Western hemisphere. Along with innumerable tropical plants and exotic and rare flowers, visitors may also see iguana, monkeys, and many species of birds. Lucky bird watchers may even catch a glimpse of the Saint Vincent Parrot, a brilliantly-colored bird also known as the Saint Vincent Amazon.
