08/02/2008 -- No sooner do I finish up the Vehicles section then I get sent some more aircraft. I've posted them, as well as Dana Scully and the 10th Doctor (I'm suprised it's taken me this long for someone to send me some Dr. Who character sheets!).
07/23/2008 -- I've finished editing and cleaning up the Vehicles section. As stated, all of the new vehicle character sheets use preformatted layouts and and include images.
07/02/2008 -- I have edited and cleaned up all of the various art and photo galleries. If nothing else, the images should all be centered in their tables. I've also finished with the Real World Air Vehicles, and now have started on Ground Vehicles. All of the updated pages will have preformatted layouts and images.
06/26/2008 -- Okay, where to begin? I've added a new Original Character -- Donya the Night Elf. I've also added an article to the general HERO Section, Surbrook's Eight Steps to Character Creation. Vendetta Rhapsody has had a few more updates. Shadows Angelus II has received a last update -- the story Repossessed, that serves to wrap up a few loose ends for Jama and Mitch. Oh, and over on the Vehicles Page I've been busy cleaning up all of the old character sheets and converting all of the table layouts to the standard preformatted layouts. I'm also trying to add an image for each vehicle, so you'll know what it really looks like.
06/17/2008 -- Vendetta Rhapsody continues to expand. I've posted character sheets for all of the older PCs and have most of the new PCs up. I've also posted some new character sheets, such as the Solanum Zombie (from The Zombie Survival Guide). In addition, I've started working on the Vehicles section -- specifically assorted armored vehicles from Warhammer 40,000. Right now all you're going to get is the Baneblade, but I have more waiting to be formatted and uploaded.
06/14/2008 -- I've continued my updating of character sheets to Hero Designer. I've updated characters on the RPG Adaptations page -- specifically characters from Bad Medicine For Dr. Drugs, Call of Cthulhu, and GURPS Supers. I've also done some minor updates on the Vendetta Rhapsody, specifically uploading some new images.
06/08/2008 -- I've cleaned up Big Trouble in Little China, running all of the character sheet though Hero Designer. I've also added some new (or better) images. I think at some point I need to rewatch the movie and see if I can do a better job on the character sheets. Or, at least, get more quotes in.
06/08/2008 -- I moved Big Trouble in Little China from the Asian Action Heroes section to the more generic Movies and TV section. Although Big Trouble uses Chinese legend, actors, and the like, it is a Hollywood production. I've updated all of the characters via Hero Designer (and am debating re-watching the film to further refine the designs), but haven't uploaded the new material. In addition, Shadows Angelus II has come to an early end (the GM received a once-in-a-lifetime out-of-state job offer), so I'm trying to finish that. On the other hand, Vendetta Rhapsody is restarting, so I've updated it to reflect the new players and changes to the setting. More to follow as the GM give it to me.
05/31/2008 -- I've finished another update. This time it's Here There Be Dragons: A Medieval Bestiary. Each character sheet has been edited, corrected, and now has a Hero Designer file.
05/19/2008 -- I ran an update on the 18th, but didn't post a notice. The bulk of the update was the revised World of Kong section. Each character sheet now has a Hero Designer file and there are a few new images. I've also updated the Real World Animals section for the Creatures page. In addition, I've started updating the Vendetta Rhapsody page to prep it for the Vendetta Rhapsody 2.0 reboot.
04/30/2008 -- I have added piles of stuff to the Creatures page, and I do mean piles! Creatures from assorted movies, D&D, call of Cthulthu, Feng Shui, Iron Kingdoms, and more! I've also added Sergeant Nicholas Angel (Hot Fuzz), and yet more stuff to the Shadows Angelus II page.
04/18/2008 -- Let's see... I've been working on updating more pages to XHTML, and adding new pages of material as I go. So, starting at the top we have updated Call of Cthulthu creatures, Dungeons and Dragons creatures (some based off of 3.5), Iron Kingdoms creatures, and Feng Shui creatures, all on the Creatures page. I've also uploaded a page for Robert E Howard's Pictish king, Bran Mak Morn. In the RPG section, I have two conversions from Feng Shui -- Johnny Java and Silk Deveroux. And there's yet more updates to the Shadows Angelus II page. Enjoy!
03/31/2008 -- I completed the Hero All-Stars character sheets and updated Shadows Angelus II.
03/27/2008 -- I finished uploading the Usagi Yojimbo characters, added a few more Hero All-Stars character sheets, edited Shadows Angelus and Shadows Angelus II, and uploaded some revised Creatures.
03/26/2008 -- The White Wolf to Hero section has been cleaned up and converted to XHTML. This allowed me to correct a number of mistakes. I could do more with it... but won't. The material isn't mine (as in, I didn't write it), and what is up is presentable and readable. If I really wanted to go all out, I'd put everything into Hero Designer, export it, and rebuild all of the pages so they look like current DOJ/Hero sourcebooks. But that's far too much work, especially since this is someone else's material.
Speaking of DOJ/Hero, Darren Watts, president Hero Games, sent me his Hero All-Stars character sheets. I've started section for his characters and hope to populate it over the next few days (or weeks).
I added a character sheet for Kreeshka the Ghoul to the World of Nehwon. I also added a few revised Usagi Yojimbo characters as well.
As a final note, I've been adding to and updating both Shadows Angelus and Shadows Angelus II. The former has a new section, Final Players Thoughts, as well as my 30-page submission to Haymaker! issue 43, titled The Greatest Game I Ever Played.
03/19/2008 -- Okay, HeroCon has been updated with all new information for this year's con. I've also done all of the XHTML conversions for the Kazei 5 PBEM. As the PBEM is no longer operative, that's probably all I'll ever do with the site for the time being. I've also been updating the Comics Adaptations with more revised material.
03/14/2008 -- Still more reworking of HTML to XHTML. I've made some nice improvements and discoveries that I hope will allow me to make migrating older files to a newer, cleaner look that much easier. I also have updates, such as Marciano's Twelve Sisters from the Coyote Ragtime Show. Shadows Angelus II has more updates, with more stories, characters, and pictures.
03/02/2008 -- Small update. Some new images for Shadows Angelus II and I added Creatures Of Nehwon.
02/29/2008 -- The lack of updates may make you wonder what's going on. Actually, there's a lot being done to the site, but you can't see most of it. I've been trying to convert the site over to XHTML, which means a lot of reworking of the HTML sheets and the like. I've also been reworking the CSS and other website elements. Some are visual changes, others less so. I'm also updating the site and adding material, but it's not as fast as it was. There's also Hero System 6th Edition to think about as well. I know I want to put everything into Hero Designer, since that will make it easy to port characters over to 6th. However, the big question for me is: how do I implement XHTML? DoI start the site over (so to speak) and rebuild it from the ground up? At time I am thinking "yes" as the sheer volume of edits and changes really makes me think I need to start with a clean slate and go from there. sigh There's over 6,000 parts to this website! Help!
Sorry... ^_^ I'm all better. Well, anyway, take a look at the Comics Adaptations, there's newly revised material there.
01/28/2008 -- It seems I've run a few updates and forgot to write anything here about it. The Wild Cards characters are all done, at least for the original series. I'm still working on the characters from Aces Abroad. The big update is over on Movie and Television Characters Page, where you will find characters from the following: Se7en, Supernatural, Burt Gummer, Chuck Bartowski, Dexter Morgan, Gargamel, Gregory House, Jason Bourne, Jason Voorhees, John Locke, Martin Riggs, Ned, and the Terminator.
12/14/2007 -- I'm gearing up for another huge update. I've added a new section -- The Photo Gallery. I've added a page for Shadows Angelus II: Ten Years After. I'm also trying to finish up the Wild Cards characters, but as there are roughly 105 of the, it's going to take a while.
11/21/2007 -- A huge update of material today. I went through all of my old submissions to the site and have finally formatted them for posting (as well as some material of my own). Let me see if I can get all of them. Hayate the Combat Butler. A new version of Hikaru Shidoui. The Stainless Steel Rat. Byth. The Phorusrhacids. Childhood terrors. Edan Harper. John Lee Pettimore III. Johnny. The Long Cool Woman in a black dress. The Tiny Dancer. Numerous real world military vehicles. Altair. And finally, Mr. 47. In addition, I've started posting my revised version of characters from the shared world of Wild Cards. Take a look.
10/21/2007 -- I'm still working on the Books Adaptations, and have completed The Deed Of Paksenarrion, Robert E Howard Characters, and characters from The Princess Bride.
I find it very funny that about a year ago I bought Hero Designer and stated "I am not going to port [the characters] all over to Hero Designer and then re-port them back into HTML." Which is what I'm doing right now. Of course, one reason why I am doing this is I think it allows me to create definitive versions of the characters, not to mention correcting various errors and mistakes. That said, let's take a look at what's new. First of all I think we can officially being the Shadows Angelus worldbook to a close. I have posted Reconciled, which looks to be the last epilogue for the setting. I've also added a few stories to Vendetta Rhapsody, and updated Daybreak Rising a bit. I've started on the Books Adaptations, with Ahmad ibn Fadlan, Colonel Steve Austin, Friday Baldwin, Gil Hamilton, Hell Tanner, Oscar Gordon, and various HG Wells characters.
10/05/2007 -- I'm now done with the Australia Photo Gallery. I completed the Sydney Opera House, Vehicles, and Tin Soldier sections. Enjoy!
10/04/2007 -- I am almost down with the Australia Photo Gallery. I added the section for Sydney, Port Jackson, and the Sydney Bridge. I also fixed scads of errors, mainly in the text.
10/02/2007 -- More updates to the Australia Photo Gallery. I've added the following sections: Sandstone Shapes, Plants, People, and finished Museums.
09/28/2007 -- I've been rather lax about mentioning some of the updates to the Australia Photo Gallery. So, in case you were wondering, here's what's been uploaded: Cammeray and North Sydney, Canberra, Beaches and Shorelines, Animals, Chinese Garden of Friendship, Luna Park, USS Kitty Hawk, Royal Australian Navy, On The Road, Museums (incomplete), Curiosities, and From The Plane.
09/13/2007 -- I fixed an error with the Beaches and Shoreline section. I also made minor corrections to the Shadows Angelus page, and added stories to the Daybreak Rising and Vendetta Rhapsody pages. I've updated the Asian Action Heroes page, and have added HDC files for all the characters I personally wrote-up. Next, I tackle the various characters adapted from Books.
09/10/2007 -- I've completed the Beaches and Shoreline section. I've also updated the HEROCon 2007 website, allowing you to pay via PayPal.
08/31/2007 -- I've expanded the Beaches and Shoreline section and am about half-way through. The HEROCon 2007 website has seen a lot of updates, with a revised front page and numerous new events added.
08/29/2007 -- I've added several galleries to the My Trip to Australia section. You can look at photos of Luna Park, the USS Kitty Hawk, the Royal Australian Navy, On The Road in Australia, and things I saw From The Airplane. I've also started on the Beaches and Shoreline section, but it is incomplete. For those looking for new character sheet, I offer Buddy, the Six-String Samurai. Enjoy!
08/15/2007 -- I've managed to complete the first gallery in the My Trip to Australia section. The Animals Gallery is now done. I've also started to update the Revised HERO Characters page, posting HERO Designer edited versions of the characters from European Enemies.
08/10/2007 -- I've finished revising the characters on the Anime Page. I have also updated Daybreak Rising and Vendetta Rhapsody.
08/04/2007 -- Another huge update. I've been doing more HTML editing, cleaning up some really, really old pages in order to get rid of coding I no longer use, or to make the page conform to how I code pages these days. It's not anything that really affects how the website looks to most people, but it's something that tends to bug me until I fix it. Anyway, on to what I have done that you can see. In the Character Archive, on the Anime Page, I've added HERO Designer-edited versions of the characters from Outlanders. On the Comics Adaptations Page I've edited the Introduction Page of Mage, Usagi Yojimbo, and Watchman. A lot of this editing includes standardizing with tags I use when, so each page looks a lot like the others, making it seem like you're reading one large sourcebook (so to speak), and providing a sense of internal consistency. With time, all the individual characters will get the HERO Designer treatment as well. In the Worldbooks section, I've been busy. Daybreak Rising has seen the initial placement of characters, art, and stories. I've updated Shadows Angelus with one new story, Terracide has some new background data and sample NPCs, and Vendetta Rhapsody has new new characters (both PCs and NPCs), and some new stories. Enjoy!
