Background/History: Formerly from the port town of Bogdan, Lepolo learned his trade from his parents, who were part of a large acting company that performed regularly in the town’s theater. Thus, he was an actor from a very early age, and learned many of the tricks of the trade, although his true love is working with puppets (since it lets him get away with outlandish stories and silly stunts.) He ended up traveling with Teodora after seeing her perform in the city market. While he liked working the theater, the idea of joining a traveling show (and thus seeing new sights and meeting new people) was too much to resist. For her part, Teodora was duly impressed with Lepolo’s skills and made him part of the act (it didn’t hurt that his fencing skills allowed them to add sword-fights to the act.) For a time he was romantically involved with Teodora, but both of them broke off the relationship with the understanding it was bad for business. Lepolo has since transferred his affections to Dirorah, who’s been rather receptive to the idea.

Personality/Motivation: Simply put, Lepolo likes people. It doesn’t matter their size, shape, or appearance (which in the Well can be very varied), Lepolo looks on everyone as a potential member of the audience, or someone to drink with, gamble with, and if they were female (at least until he met Dirorah), sleep with. Thus, he often works with Dirorah to find out such information as to where’s the best place to perform, what the local town militia thinks about acting troupes, and what’s the road like ahead (both physically and geopolitically.) The only thing he doesn’t do is bargain with people for supplies and the like, he wisely leaves that to Teodora.

Quote: “Now it’s showtime!”

Powers/Tactics: As one of the Hunting People, Lepolo posses functional horns atop his head, but using them in most combat is generally not recommended. Still, they can make for a nasty surprise attack, especially against a taller opponent. Having traveled with lady Teodora for some time, Lepolo is a skilled actor, flautist, and puppeteer, and is also the one who has to face Teodora when ever the troupe decides to put on a fencing demonstration (he tends to put his SKill Levels into DCV and hope for the best.)

Campaign Use: Lepolo is one of Teodora’s Followers. See the Lady Teodora’s sheet for ideas on how to use the whole troupe in a game. If used on his own, Lepolo could be made into a traveling Bard (consider adding the full Bard Template) or perhaps even a Warrior (Light Fighter) by giving him an full fencing package. He too could be a source of information, a potential love interest, a contact, or even a rival (or sorts) to a PC.

Appearance: One of the Horned People, Lepolo has short (but sharp) horns projecting from just above his ears and back, away from his head. He’s as tall as Teodora, with tanned skin, and long black hair that comes down to his shoulders. He wears a long-sleeved, knee-length jacket over a linen shirt, close-fitting hose, leather boots to the knee, and a thin belt with knife and pouch.
