SPIDER-BEARS

Spider-bears are native to the Auriga system, where they are the largest known land predators. Solitary creatures, they only gather into large groups during mating season, after which pregnant females will isolate themselves in secluded dens to lay their eggs and watch over the newly hatched young. Active day and night, spider-bears are known to be highly aggressive and treat just about anything they encounter as a possible and/or probable food item. Reports have them going to far as to attempt to attack armored ATVs, apparently seeing them as just another herbivore.
