Background: Natasha's background, prior to three months ago, is a complete mystery. (And is beyond the scope of this write-up; assume it's irrelevant.) Essentially, she turned up one day in the employ of the Anti-Unification Army's Special Weapons Testing division as a test pilot. She does not seem to have any friends, relatives, or acquaintances.

Personality: Natasha is currently heading towards "totally barking mad," but is currently listed as "just a bit on the off-putting side." Usually, she's rather quiet and withdrawn, avoiding other people where she can help it, and rarely speaking beyond what is needed. She reads long books and writes (and illustrates) a lengthy journal to pass her time. In combat, she is usually cool, calm, and collected. She analyses the situation and reacts appropriately, never doing anything rash or impulsive. Of late, she has been developing an increasingly short temper, and is becoming prone to violent rages at anyone or anything that annoys her. This in turn is causing her to avoid people more, so they won't "annoy" her. And so on. If she is "wounded" while piloting her Exo-Suit, she is most likely to go straight after the attacker, ignoring anyone or anything that gets in her way.

She also "just gets these headaches." On the upside, she no longer hears voices in her head. Her favorite Shakespeare play is King Lear. she finds it to be "relaxing".

Powers: Natasha used to have minor esper powers, but these seem to have been suppressed or removed (It's possible the Vehicle Control Rig system and subsequent modifications to her nervous system is affecting them somehow). Even if she did somehow get them back, she'd avoid using them at all costs (they give her severe headaches - even worse than the ones from using her cyberware).

The Vehicle Control Rig system is a different matter. Essentially a control mechanism for Exo-Suits, the DNI system by-passes physical interfaces. Rather than the pilot operating the Exo-Suit through conventional control systems (foot pedals, throttle controls, joysticks and the like) the pilot's mind is directly linked up to the Exo-Suit. Likewise, all sensory input is fed back into the pilot's brain directly, rather than going through the displays. The net result of all this is a faster, more agile, more responsive Exo-Suit. The eventual aim of the project is to do away with the conventional controls altogether; for now they have been retained as a back-up system.

The system does have its side-effects; the link between the pilot and Exo-Suit seems to produce some feedback. When the Exo-Suit suffers severe internal damage, the pilot "feels" the damage as if it was being done to their own body. While there is no actual physical harm to the pilot, the long-term effects are still unknown. More disturbingly, the system seems to be having an adverse effect on the pilot's mental health. Test pilots have complained of frequent headaches, and it is believed that the system may be responsible for the increased aggressiveness displayed by the two pilots in the program so far.

Occupation: Gun for hire.

Description: Natasha is rather tall (5'10") and slim (weight is an AUA top-level secret). She has black hair that falls to past her waist and very dark blue eyes. Her hair is always tied back usually kept neat and well looked-after, although the ends have become a bit frayed as of late.

When "on duty" (which is virtually any time that she's awake) she wears a gray AUA flightsuit or field uniform. She has interface ports for the DNI system in the back and sides of her head, on her wrists and ankles, with at least one cable coming from each port when she is hooked up to her Exo-Suit.
