Background/History: This is Iijima Sayaka, an AMP Officer built in the style of (and with the help of) the characters/work put into Silent Möbius Zeta. She is a telekinetic ESPer with a serious bent against the Lucifer Folk (like most of the AMP members.) I could go into a great deal of length about her background, but I'll try and keep it fairly short. Iijima doesn't remember when she was born—indeed, she doesn't remember most of her childhood. The memories she does have are not pleasant ones. Her earliest memory is that of her mother dying with a black claw thrust through her stomach, her dad already sliced in half. She and her brother had been orphaned at the age of 6.
She and her brother were 'adopted' by a pair of research scientists who worked in Hebron, a research and development company. The two scientists were not interested in humanitarianism—they suspected the two children of possessing ESPer powers. They did. Years of experimentation and training with little love except what the two children had for each other took their toll—although the children became skilled ESPers, they were not growing up well. The time came when Hebron was attacked by the Lucifer Folk, when the children were 15. Sayaka's brother died defending himself and his sister, torn apart by a Folk's magic. Soon after, help arrived—the AMP had reacted as soon as they could to the disturbance. Before Sayaka could bring her own ESPer powers to bear on the creatures, the Lucifer Folk were engaged in combat with the AMP officer. Sayaka used her psychokinetic powers to aid the AMP officer.
The officer took her in, and sponsored her through the AMP training programs, hoping that Sayaka would be a powerful weapon against the Lucifer Folk. She also raised the girl as if she were her own daughter. Tragedy struck once again, when during Sayaka's graduation ceremony, a Lucifer Folk attack erupted in a sector of the city. Sayaka's 'mom' was one of the AMP officers to respond. The situation was a bad one, and several officers died, sacrificing themselves to defeat the menace. Thus it was that on Sayaka's graduation night, her surrogate mother died, leaving her with only the burning desire to carry on the legacy handed over to her and the desire to avenge those she loved.
Powers/Tactics: Iijima's TK is pretty powerful, although it doesn't cover all the possible slots (yet); she can only divert her psychokinetic powers into two uses at any one time (eg. flight and force field). The katana is quite nonstandard issue, a heirloom from her surrogate mother's family handed down to her. It is one of the last true katana left, folded two thousand times and virtually unbreakable. It is not a speaking weapon like Jesso or Grospolina, but it does have a faint enchantment/magical ability imbued into it --inactive. What it is is unknown at this time. The arm-blaster is a modification to a common type of blaster—although it loses some of the power itn the transition, it is also an 'easier' weapon to shoot, although accuracy suffers a bit. The normal tactic with the weapon is as a surprise, or to lay down covering fire—and of course, it leaves the hands free.
