Background/History: Raven appears to have one of the more interesting backgrounds. Her father is evidently a powerful demonic figure. Her mother is currently unrevealed. To say the she has “issues” with her father is to say the sun is a little hot. Her demonic heritage haunts her and it something she must constantly strive to control. It sometimes manifests are monstrous appearance and even darker rage when Raven become emotionally aroused. So she strives to maintain control of her emotions, meditating daily and affecting a cold logical demeanor. Unfortunately, she must shut off positive emotions as well as negative and comes across as aloof, unfriendly and distant even to her team mates. Combined with her interest in the “darker” aspect of life it makes her seem creepy and somewhat unpleasant to be around.
Appearance: Raven is a short, slim black haired girl. She keeps her hair cut short and combed close to her head and wears a small purple black gem stone on her forehead, over her “third eye”. Raven always dresses in black, a leotard, cape and cowl that keeps her face in shadow. She speaks in a dry dead pan, never smiles, but has a chilling glare.
Designer's Notes: I'm happier with this version. I didn't give Raven an EC because the best I could think of was "Soul Powers" and that could be just about anything really. One of my rules of thumb about Elemental Control is that there has to be a fairly common set of powers that can't be included. Raven could manifest just about any ability and call it a "Soul Power" since its basically magic. You could make a justification for giving her a VPP of "Soul Powers" but this write up has some of the powers she uses most frequently. She has demonstrated others such a Mental Illusions (and extensive ones) but they weren't under her control at all.
